Our Process
At VW-T we always welcome visits to our workshop. Upon your arrival you will be greeted by a member of the team and shown around some of our camper vans.
We pride ourselves on our customer service and attention to detail. If you need to convert your VW Transporter Campervan in stages we can work closely with you to ensure that you end up with exactly what you require. With campervans it is personal. Everything needs to be just how it should be; to inspire and excite you every time you get on the road.
Reception and Enquiries
We understand that no two customers are the same and therefore the needs of each van is somewhat different. Every bespoke conversion begins with a consultation. Visit our premises where we will offer a demonstration and guide you through the entire conversion process starting with how we can help you choose the ideal base vehicle, advising on a configuration that works best for your lifestyle and even selecting your interior finishes from our wide range of swatches.
Tom
Managing Director
Tom started up the business in 2012. He has a passion for anything VW including his 72 Marathon beetle and 72 Bay window Camper van. Tom will likely be your first point of contact and will oversee your entire van conversion from start to finish. He is always making sure that the general day to day running of the business is taken care of using his many years of experience.
Tara
Office Manager and Accounts
Tara has been with us since 2015 and owns a 72 bay window camper van. Tara will likely be your first point of contact and will help to guide you through your conversion process and answer any queries that may arise.
Preparing Your Campervan And Fitting The Interior
Once your van arrives with us it will be washed, stripped down and prepared ready for the cut work to begin. The whole vehicle is masked up to protect the paint and interior throughout the build process. Once the windows and roof are installed we carpet line and insulate as well as install the new flooring. It is then ready for the units. All of our interior units are built in house on our state of the art CNC machine and finished by hand allowing us to deliver an exceptional conversion that ticks every box. Here at VW-T all of our technicians are NCC gas certified and we only use the best quality materials and appliances that comply with the latest safety standards. All of the roofs that we fit are TUV approved and the beds all M1 tested or EU approved so you can have complete peace of mind when purchasing your new camper van.
Steve
Technician
Steve started working at VW-T in 2018 and he has years of mechanical experience. Steve will be making sure that all of the conversion work on your van is carried out safely and to a high standard.
Joe
Technician
Joe comes from an engineering background. Joe is our main CNC operator and cabinet maker, ensuring that all of the interior designs are drawn up on our state of the art CNC machine, then assembling and finishing each cabinet by hand.
Will
Technician
Will comes from an engineering background. He will be making sure that all of the conversion work on your van is carried out safely and to a high standard.
Completing your conversions
Once your van is complete we provide a full demonstration on how it all works, a habitation and gas certificate and instruction leaflet. All of our new and used Transporters include comprehensive warranties, and our fixtures and fittings are guaranteed for 2 years (with the exception of misuse/general wear and tear).
